Hi, I’m Citlalli, a book-loving, story-obsessed, creative soul who calls California’s Central Valley home. I’m a proud nerd, a badass academic, and someone who finds magic in the everyday moments that shape who we are. I’ve spent my life immersed in stories—whether from the pages of a book, the traditions of my family, or the landscapes of the Central Valley, where the pastels of storm clouds paint my favorite skies.
Home is everything to me. It’s the laughter that fills the air at family gatherings, the activism my family lived and taught me, and the traditions that ground us in love and resilience. Home is also Calaveras Con Cariño, a project born from my family’s heart that celebrates life, memory, and culture through the Mexican-Indigenous tradition Dia de Los Muertos. It’s a reflection of who I am: someone deeply connected to her roots, driven by creativity, and passionate about honoring stories in all their forms.
My journey hasn’t necessarily been easy,( whose has, am I right?) but it’s been worth it. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today—leading with empathy, staying true to myself, and pouring my heart into everything I create. Whether teaching rhetoric and writing at my University, designing heartfelt and authentic websites, or crafting meaningful brands, I approach each endeavor with a blend of intellect, care, and determination.
At my core, I am a storyteller. It’s the thread that weaves together my love for books, my work as an academic, and my creative projects. I believe stories connect us, inspire us, and remind us of our shared humanity. Through De Luna Studios, I bring that belief to life, helping others share their unique stories with care, authenticity, and intention.
